Emi at the zoo

Emi at the zoo

My name is Emi. I am a pregnant 24 year old stay at home mother of three.  I am extremely straight-forward, and it has interfered in my ability to manifest relationships with people who have even a minor thing against me. I’m not a crunchy parent, and I do consider myself a sheep. Baa. I used to cloth-diaper, formula-feed, and used to co-sleep with my son. I used organic store-bought food, and I gave up on the no-TV thing when my daughter was about 1.5 years old.

Here we will talk about my memories and daily struggles, such as the chaos that ensues from being a young parent, stay at home mother, wife to a programmer-aholic, evil daughter-in-law, disowner of the family, and an addict to Coca-Cola. I can guarantee you won’t agree with me all the time, but remember, it could be worse!

I have three children. A 3 year old daughter, Evie, was born with 3 heart defects. Two of them fixed themselves relatively quickly. At her last appointment, they are 99% sure her PDA is gone, but seeing as she was 2 years old, she wouldn’t exactly cooperate. We go back later to check a final time. She loves Clifford, Hello Kitty, and Ni Hao Kai-lan. Her favorite foods consist of bananas and cookies. Her favorite pastimes consist of coloring, playing with blocks, and playing outdoors. When she cries, she’ll close just one eye so she can watch your reaction to her tantrum. It’s a good strategy that just doesn’t work the way she wants.

My son, Ory, is 2 years old. He’s 100% healthy, active, and fast. His birth was an explosion of how different each child is. For instance, he pooped for 5 minutes, while I was attempting to change him, and vomited during the process, just shortly after birth. Even though I was an experienced parent, I panicked and hit the nurse button just as the pediatrician walked in. And he immediately stopped. Ory acts exactly how you’d expect a toddler to act. His favorite things are stealing his sisters food, juice and toys, climbing and sleeping on Tim.

Speaking of Tim, he is my 29 year old husband that I married in June 2005. Tim works at a well-known fruit company as a programmer and designer for a application that ships with the OS. His favorite foods are jambalaya and tacos. He loves programming as a hobby, swimming and playing video games once and a while. He likes remote controlled things, especially if they scare the pets. His flaws are time management, leaving work at work, and lack of communication skills. He also seems to love telling me one thing, and telling other people another thing, which always causes tension in our relationship.
